Who Can Benefit from the CVN Distance Learning Program and Courses?
1) Students interested in earning a Masters/Professional Degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Engineering.
2) Students interested in earning a four course Certificate Program in a number of subject areas through CVN.
3) Current graduate students at other Universities who would like to take individual coursework through CVN and have these courses transferred back to their home school. Courses available via CVN are fully accredited by the Commission of Higher Education, a unit of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
4) Current undergraduate students at other Universities who are in need of courses to complete their B.S. degrees. CVN enables students to complete coursework globally, and tranfer this coursework back to their home schools, subject to the Academic procedures of that school. Students taking courses through CVN on a for-credit basis earn Columbia University credit and generate official Columbia University transcripts upon completion of the class.
5) Industry professionals who want to take individual courses on a credit or audit basis to enhance/update their knowledge of a certain subject area or course. CVN makes 70-90 courses available to students each semester.
